Blue Roof Distillery is a family-owned operation that has been farming for six generations. What sets them apart is their unique process of transforming whole potatoes into handcrafted spirits. The distillery is built on the Strang family farm, where they grow over 700 acres of land and produce more than 350 acres of potatoes. The potatoes that are too small to market are used to make vodka, gin, and other spirits. The distillery's custom-engineered equipment and commitment to using only whole potatoes result in a distinctive flavor profile that is sweet and silky. The Strang family is proud to offer value-added spirits that are naturally gluten-free and made with a lower ecological footprint.
The distillery's unique flavors, such as blueberry lemonade and Cran & Lime, are highly praised, and the vodka is considered very good. The facility and staff are also commended for being nice and friendly, making for a great tour experience.

"text": "What a nice little surprise. My boyfriend and I were heading to PEI to see the total eclipse. On our way we came across a giant jovial potato, we had to stop. We ended up walking out with several different kinds of selzers, a bottle of vodka and the very first bottle of the espresso vodka that they sold. So far I've only had a chance to try the regular vodka, very good. I'll report back as I try the rest.",

"text": "We drove past signs for Blue Roof when we were exploring Shediac to PEI....best detour we ever made! The staff is so friendly in explaining the process from start to finish for the vodka. We went home with numerous cases of the Cran & Lime (to die for btw) plus a case of the vodka. This is going to be on my repeat list when visiting the area.",
