In a bold move, a group of five passionate individuals brought a new distillery to life on the Côte-Nord, driven by their expertise and audacity. After years of research and development, they're launching their first product, an Amaretto unlike any other in North America, crafted from the fruit of the American mountain ash tree. Hand-picked after the first frost, this fruit gives the Amaretto a distinct flavor, with notes of tart cherries. The story behind the distillery and its products is one of vision, perseverance, and a deep connection to the region and its natural beauty.
The distillery's unique products, such as rowan amaretto and spiced rum, are highly praised for their refinement and distinctiveness, with appreciation for the use of local ingredients and historical context.
The owners are real enthusiasts! Finally a distillery that makes something other than gin! The rowan amaretto is simply mind-blowing, as is the spiced rum which is very refined. And what about bloody spices! A stop is necessary! Special mention to the use of local ingredients and the historical anchoring (the guys know their history and the concept revolves around Colonel McCormick, one of the founders of the region).
