Nestled in the heart of Cobble Hill, British Columbia, Holocene Distilling Project is more than just a distillery—it’s a thoughtful experiment in innovation and sustainability. Founded by Dorian Redden and Aisling Goodman, this ambitious project began with a modest basement moonshine still and has since blossomed into a trailblazer for eco-conscious spirit production. What sets Holocene apart is its relentless pursuit of carbon neutrality by 2030, achieved through creativity and community-driven solutions. Their offerings include a diverse range of handcrafted spirits inspired by Aisling’s deep understanding of herbalism and Dorian’s engineering prowess, ensuring each sip is as earth-friendly as it is distinctive. With a homemade approach to green initiatives and a passion for reducing their footprint, Holocene Distilling Project is redefining what it means to sip sustainably.
Holocene Distilling Project's creative products and attention to detail are praised by reviewers, who appreciate unique blends of herbs and teas. Sustainability initiatives and eco-friendly packaging also receive positive feedback from customers.
I've seen their drinks being sold at various Farmers markets at Duncan and in Esquimalt. All I can say, is how awesome and tasty their products are. First, it's very unique, as they use a blend of herbs and/or teas, along with other ingredients to produce their drinks. My personal favourites are the Sweet tease and the Drink pink. At $29 per bottle, it's a reasonable price. Plus the lid has an eco-friendly seed pouch that you can plant in your own yard for flowers. That's a bonus! I have yet to visit their place, but I am already in love with their products. I give the Holocene Distillery Project 2 thumbs up!
The Holocene Distilling Project offers amenities including wheelchair accessible parking options. Payment options may be accepted through credit cards or NFC, although this is not explicitly confirmed as a facility amenity.
