The kids were with their grandparents watching a movie, so we planned to head to a neighborhood pub for a beer and some wings. Since we hadn’t lived in Calgary for years, I decided to search for pubs in the area to see if anything new had popped up in the last seven years. A distillery showed up in the search results, a little out of the way, and since she had never tried gin before, we decided to give it a shot. When we first walked in, it wasn’t what we expected—it was set up more like a restaurant. We hadn’t done any research, but they had a no-show and a table available, so we decided to stay. The food at the neighboring tables smelled amazing. We ordered a flight of gin and vodka, and a meal based on the server’s recommendations. Wow, it was not the night we were expecting—it was way beyond that. The food was amazing, the drinks were fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We’ll be coming back every time we’re in Calgary. Make sure to make a reservation, as we were just lucky, but we saw many others get turned away. Thank you! I need to go back this week to grab a few bottles of their gin, and I’m a beer drinker!

"text": "Met Mike at the Spruce Meadows Christmas market. Bought a few bottles. Went to the actual distillery to buy some more only to find out he actually owns the joint. He gave us the full tour of his facility. What a beauty. He was so happy to have us there. I can't speak enough about the GOAT. The Gin is hands down the best gin you can buy for under 100$. Id give you 10 stars if I could Mike. Happy holidays!",

"text": "This place is a gem! I would give it 100 out of 5 stars if I could. They make some of the best gins I have ever had in my life but to me what's impressive is their vodkas are also amazing and I'm not a big fan of vodka. And to top it off the owner, Mike, is one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable owners I have ever met. Me and my fiance went in to just check the place out for a second and ended up spending an hour there just chatting with the owner and trying a few samples. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be going there for most of our gins and vodkas in the future. We most definitely recommend this place to our friends.",
